The Austin Game Developers Conference 2008 in Austin, Texas was a terrific event.  The weather was beautiful, and the food, entertainment and hospitality was exceptional.  It is easy to see why this event continues to grow in size each year as an essential forum for learning, inspiration, and networking for the creators of computer, console, handheld, mobile, and online games!

The Serious Games Showcase and Challenge sponsored by the I/ITSEC has extended the submission deadline for 2008 to September 30th.  This is the premiere opportunity for students to gain exposure in our industry - wiht over 16,000 industry professoinals attending the conference each year.

The Independent Games Festival

The CMP Game Group (producer of Game Developer magazine, Gamasutra.com, and the Game Developers Conference) established the Independent Games Festival in 1998 to encourage innovation in game development and to recognize the best independent game developers.

The 2009 IGF Submission Deadline for Students is November 15th - read the details to submit your game this year!
